What is Hamish Running?

Pranaiya & Arthur Magoffin Foundation has been operating in the UK and Thailand for the past three years, and PAM Foundation, Inc., has recently been approved as a charity in the US.

To launch PAM Foundation in the US, on 8 March, what would’ve been Arthur’s 4th birthday, Hamish will be undertaking a fundraising and awareness campaign in Central Park in New York City.

He will be running the “Central Park Loop Challenge” and attempting a “Fastest Known Time” / World Record.

  • When: 6am, 8 March - 1am, 9 March

  • Where: Central Park, 7th Ave entrance (Link to Google Maps)

  • Target Laps: 20 (current record 19)

  • Distance: 123mi. (200kms)

  • Average Pace: 9min/mile (5:35mins/km)

Hamish and his team welcome anyone wishing to join to run or support to join on the day.

All donations welcome and we encourage anyone to undertake their own “Loop Challenge” in aid of Perinatal Mental Health.

Countdown

What will the funding go towards?

Pillar I: Awareness & Education

To raise awareness about postpartum depression ("PPD") and other Perinatal Mental Health issues ("PMH"). Campaigns include social media, photographic exhibitions, and film.

Pillar II: Care

We are improving the care of new parents, in particular in Thailand, through improving identification of PMH issues, with training provided to those in the ecosystem to provide appropriate therapy, in addition to developing a Social Support network.

Pillar III: Research

We are supporting research in 3 areas: medical, with Oxford University, economic with London School of Economics and Political Sciences, and epidemiological, with Siriraj Hospital. We have more projects in the pipeline we will support.
