Our Campaigns
Our donors can fund specific campaigns or make a general donation. Our campaigns to raise awareness and provide care have immediate impact, bringing knowledge and assistance to relieve suffering. Our research campaigns have a longer time horizon, with the potential to achieve major long term impact.
-
Raise Awareness.
Based on media metrics, our TV interviews on networks like CNN and social media posts have reached millions of people.
We continue to raise funds to expand our existing work’s reach and develop new high quality content.
-
Provide Care.
We have funded international experts to create and deliver our first training program for medical personnel.
We are raising funds to scale our program and strengthen/create new pathways for the provision of care throughout Thailand.
-
Research.
We are funding Oxford research into both the biological causes of PPD and to focus national research priorities.
We are seeking funds to continue existing research and commence new research into the economic benefits of intervention.
Raising Awareness.
There is an urgent need to increase awareness of maternal mental health issues, which affect up to one in five new mothers, throughout the world.
We use donations to
Produce high quality information in both English and Thai for social media, brochures and exhibitions.
Raise awareness through the extensive use of video and live media appearances on major networks like CNN and Sky News.
Based on media data, we estimate that through social media, video and live news we have reached over 10 million people around the world in our first two years of operations.
We are seeking new funds to continue to produce and distribute high quality materials that let families know about maternal mental health conditions and where to seek help.
Caring.
Our aim is for all women across Thailand to have access to quality care and support for their mental health during and in the year after their pregnancy. To that end, we have:
Convened round table events with representatives from government, civic society and the private sector to discuss the ecosystem needed to support maternal mental health care
Funded the creation of a world class maternal mental health training program for medical professionals
Delivered our first training program in Thailand, sponsoring 9 UK perinatal experts (psychiatrists and psychologists) to provide a training course to 20 Thai practitioners in June 2023 via Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok
Created and run support groups for Thai parents, with the help of a network of volunteer group support leaders and lived experience mentors
We are seeking funds to expand these training and support programs as well as to continue our efforts to coordinate care through major hospitals and the Thai Ministry of Public Health. We are currently developing a Memorandum of Understanding to formalise the relationship.
Research.
Our funding for research seeks to
Advance our knowledge of the causes of PPD
Provide clarity on how research funds can be spent most effectively
Make the economic case for funding maternal mental health programs
We are advancing our goals by
Funding a multi-year study by the University of Oxford into the biological causes of maternal mental health issues
Funding the Oxford Centre for Personalised medicine to undertake a thorough review of MMH research with a view to guiding future research
Kicking off discussions for a comprehensive economic study of the costs and benefits of providing MMH care in Thailand with a view to advocating for increased government spending
